Anton Real Estate Partners Appoint Caden to 15 Adelaide and 239 George St

With the finalisation of the purchase of 15 Adelaide Street and 239 George Street complete, new owners Anton Real Estate Partners have appointed Lewis Harper, Chris Chapman and David Prosser of Caden Office Leasing, alongside Colliers, as the leasing team for both buildings.

Anton’s purchase was made with the mindset of asset improvement. Previously a bit unloved, the buildings will undergo targeted upgrades which will quickly reposition the assets within the market’s eye. Cosmetic and functional improvements will be made over the coming 12 months. 239 George St will reaffirm its position as a competitor in the Prime A-Grade office market, while 15 Adelaide St will reset the standard for B-Grade office accommodation in Brisbane’s North Quarter precinct.

A feature improvement will be the installation of an End of Trip facility to service both buildings. In close proximity to the Bicentennial Bikeway, the North Quarter precinct is a popular location for cyclists, so such a facility is a necessity. Further works will be undertaken on-floor to improve the arrival experience for all tenants.

Over the coming 5 years both assets will benefit from the ongoing increase in major infrastructure projects around the George St strip. As of late 2019, Brisbane Quarter, directly opposite 239 George and 15 Adelaide, will be complete, bringing a range of new retail offerings to improve the immediate area. The Brisbane Quarter provides surrounding buildings with access to an underground secure parking complex by Wilson Parking, six brand new food options (as of July 2019) retail to come, accommodation at The One Residences and access to the W Hotel. This world-class development will continue to draw in an array of people, increasing the positive growth of the area.

Next to come is the entire Queen’s Wharf precinct which will introduce an unprecedented amount of amenity itself but will likely increase interest in surrounding areas too.

Beyond that, projects that can be anticipated with a level of certainty include Brisbane Live! and the associated redevelopment of the Roma Street Parklands and Roma Street Train Station, as well as the implementation of the Streetscape Master Plan – Adelaide St, the initial focus of which will be at the River end of the Adelaide St.
