Goodwin Port Solutions ship out of serviced offices and into 26 Wharf St

In a good sign going forward, 26 Wharf Street’s new owners have secured their first lease commitment through a deal with privately-owned Goodwin Port Solutions Pty Ltd, being completed prior to refurbishments being finalised.

Taking on a spec fit out that had previously been occupied for only a short term, Goodwin Port Solutions were able to make a quick transition out of serviced offices into their new tenancy, following some make-good works. With costs for small tenancies, at serviced office and coworking providers, quite high, the move to a direct lease provided a larger area and more desks for a comparable price.

Having been asked to vacate their existing premises, Goodwin Ports took matters into their own hands and did a walkthrough of some nearby buildings to get an understanding of what stock was available on the market. This was followed by a more thorough round of inspections through a handful of properties. Initially 26 Wharf St was ruled out as there were no appropriately sized tenancies, however luck had it that a space became available a couple of weeks into their search.

The Goodwin Ports team did not hesitate with this suite and wrapped it up before it had officially hit the market. Some minor fit out amendments were required, but it was predominantly left as-built a couple of years ago. They agreed to a mid-length lease beginning the second half of 2019.

With the new owners now well and truly settled on 26 Wharf, ongoing improvements within the building include a full refurbishment program covering the entire ground floor plane, all bathrooms within the building, lift interiors, and the on-floor experience.
