GPA Engineering Expand from Inner Suburbs to North Quay

Multifaceted engineering and consultancy firm, GPA Engineering, have joined the growing number of tenants relocating from the fringe into the Brisbane CBD on account of attractive rents and incentives.

Previously located in Milton, North Quay was an ideal middle ground that allowed GPA easy access to CBD clients without the hassle of being on Queen St.

Internal growth proved to be the primary motivator for GPA’s relocation, with a¬†Federal Government contract requiring a new line of business for the next 50 years, as well as growth in their existing relationships with major resource sector businesses such as Santos.

GPA had a requirement to more than double the capacity of their existing premises, ideally in a building close to public transport where they could find an existing fit out to salvage and direct their incentive package into rental abatement. Level 5 of 193 North Quay was presented as a full floor fit out which had potential to be tidied and refurbished and, after a few tweaks to the existing fit out, a deal was struck to house fifty (50) new staff across the 726sqm floor plate.

GPA’s lease rounds out a successful 2018 at 193 North Quay with over 1,500sqm (~25% of NLA) absorbed. 193 is now over 80% occupied in a notoriously difficult part of the Brisbane CBD to lease.
