Caden
Recruitment recently held its 2010 Charity Golf Day at Long Island Country
Club. It was well attended by our clients from Accounting & Finance and a
variety of industries. The great thing about this event is that these business
leaders are keen to make a difference and this year the charity we’re
supporting is Plan International Australia.
Our
Caden Recruitment team of John Saporito, Marie Bantis, Jane Cacchione, Veronica
Sim and Mark Bloodworth was on hand early to greet the eager players with
giveaways and wake up coffees! Caden’s Managing Director Domenic Saporito gave
the players and guests a warm welcome before they were dispatched to various
tees for the shotgun start. The groups enjoyed the Ambrose format as it encourages
team spirit and great camaraderie. This was evident as our support crew of John
and Marie circulated around the course keeping our guests supplied with snacks
and drinks.
Once
in the clubhouse our clients were refreshed with cool drinks and a lovely meal
whilst the main focus of the day, hearing about some of Plan’s work, unfolded.
We were privileged to hear from Plan’s Lani Masuku who gave a passionate
presentation about the plight of people in her homeland Zimbabwe. Basically millions of
Zimbabweans have been left with little to eat following the collapse of food
production in their country. Orphans, the elderly, the disabled, single-parent
families and those affected by HIV and AIDS are particularly at risk. So
we’re supporting Plan’s project to save lives by feeding 73,000 vulnerable
people in Chiredzi District. If you like to know more please click this link; http://www.plan.org.au/ourwork/southernafrica/zimbabwe/vulnerable_group_feeding
